Solutions for Mining / Minerals Industries
General Kinematics equipment for mining and mineral processing are designed to handle your tough requirements. With applications still in service after 40 years, General Kinematics heavy duty feeders, screens and grinding drums are designed to enhance your process.
GK VIBRA-DRUM Grinding Mill
VIBRA-DRUM grinding mills excel over conventional ball, stirred
media, or vertical roller mills in both grinding and energy efficiency.
General Kinematics Vibra-Drum grinding mills are proven in dozens of milling applications in the mining and mineral industries. Grinding processors are achieving impressive energy savings (35-50%), thanks to a unique rotational material motion that is more efficient than conventional ball or rotary mills. New processes such as micron grinding and mechano chemical grinding give our customers a unique and effective competitive advantage.
Exceptional grinding performance and energy savings are the result of the Vibra-Drum's natural frequency design. A sub-resonant, two mass drive and spring system alternately stores and releases grinding power. Once in motion, energy is only needed to move the grinding media as a fluid mass, and to overcome frictional losses. The Vibra-Drum can be used for processes other than grinding. It has been used to process and agglomerate fiberglass, mix product components, clean castings, for hydrometallurgy, minerals recovery, and other processes.
GK Two-Mass Screens
General Kinematics Two-Mass Screens are the heavy-duty, low horsepower choice for efficient screening of aggregate materials.
General Kinematics Two-Mass Screens are unequalled in efficiency and performance. GK's proven two-mass drive system reduces electrical consumption and increases screening efficiency over traditional direct drive (brute force) designs. Options include replaceable decks, multiple decked units, banana style decks, and special corrosion resistant finishes. GK Two-Mass screens are available in standard and custom sizes to easily fit into existing processes.
Two-Mass Vibratory Screens Features:
- Two-mass design achieves up to 5 times electrical savings over typical direct drive screens (150 HP+ compared to GK's 30 HP) .
- GK Two-Mass Screens are load responsive. The higher the tonnages, the higher the screening efficiencies.
- Two-mass design maintains stroke level, while brute force loses stroke as more material is added.
- The GK Two-Mass screen is "plug and play." Simply plug it in and you are up and running.
- Compact, low HP vibratory motors are mounted to the unit for fast change-outs.
GK Vibrating Finger-Screens
General Kinematics unique finger design eliminates jam ups and blinding found with other screen technologies.
General Kinematics patented, non-binding
Finger-Screen design concept for resource recycling has proven to be
highly successful in a wide range of applications that are prone to
hang-ups common to conventional wire mesh screening surfaces.
How it works -The superior performance of vibratory processing and the simple
jam-proof movement over our unique Finger-Screen delivers highly
efficient separation and classification. The units vibrating motion
spreads material evenly across the deck for maximum separating
efficiency. Multiple size separating decks enhance classification while
staggered finger positions help to prevent material bypass. Separation
performance is enhanced as material freely cascades through the unit --
with less "trapping". The result: fast, smooth continuous material flow
throughout the entire separation and classification process.
Finger-Screen Features:
- Vibratory motion evenly spreads material for maximum classification efficiency.
- Staggered fingers prevent material bypass.
- Cascading material flow helps separate entrapped items.
- Unique "cam-out" surface helps eliminate catching and binding.
- Tapered fingers gradually classify and free tangled materials.
- Open below deck design permits "free fall" of material to lower collecting deck.
- Custom-engineered to meet your specific classification requirements.
- Modular deck construction permits easy deck replacement.
GK Direct-Drive Vibrating Screens
General Kinematics screens are unmatched in reliability and performance. With two-mass or brute force designs and extra-heavy duty bodies, screens withstand any material you can throw at them.
Vibrating Screens Features:
- Available in brute force or two-mass drive systems depending on your application.
- Various screen designs including rubber deck, perforated, or finger screen systems.
- Standard sizes and custom designs available to best fit your process.
MODEL DS AND VS SCREENS
The Model DS and VS Vibrating Screens
provide a simple, cost effective solution for your screening process.
Our standard units have few moving parts, which adds up to cost
effective operation and lower maintenance costs. The wide range of
available screen sizes can be set at various angles and fitted with a
variety of screen dressings to meet your process requirements. Contact

GK Un-Coaler Activator/Feeder
General Kinematics Un-Coaler Activator/Feeder is a state of the art solution to feeding and metering material. The Un-Coaler combines the performance of vibratory feeding with the benefit of integrated flow control.
General Kinematics Un-Coaler Activator/Feeder is a state of the art solution to feeding and metering material. The Un-Coaler combines the performance of vibratory feeding with the benefit of integrated flow control.
Vibratory bulk material reclaim has never been so dependable or versatile for rates up to 2,000 tons per hour. The Un-Coaler combines the flow control characteristics of a totally enclosed vibrating feeder with proven bin activation. Since the unit discharges material vertically to conveyor below, loading is always centered and symmetrical. This feature helps to eliminate belt tracking problems common to side feeding. The Un-Coaler also helps eliminate bridging and other issues found with other metering options.
UN-COALER® Activator / Feeder Features:
- Low headroom design for reduction in installation requirements.
- No gates required.
- Symmetrical and centered loading.
-
Eliminates bridging.
GK PARA-MOUNT II® Feeders
General Kinematics Para-Mount II vibratory feeders are designed for applications that demand capacities up to 4,000 tons per hour or more.
